Debido a la nueva dinámica establecida en las telecomunicaciones y al aumento en la necesidad de procesos de investigación educacionales y aplicados que generen un impacto social, se propone integrar las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación (information and communications technologies, ICT) dentro de proyectos que fortalezcan las relaciones entre los académicos, la sociedad y las empresas. El objetivo de este proyecto se orienta a implementar un prototipo funcional para mandar señales electrocardiográficas a tiempo real, de forma que use la red de telefonía móvil y la tecnología GPRS para la transmisión entre una unidad móvil y el hospital de destino de modo que se consiga una asistencia integral, eficiente e inmediata para los pacientes.

Due to the new dynamics of telecommunications and because of the increasing need of the society for educational and applied research processes that generate social impact, it is proposed to integrate information and communications technologies (ICT). Within projects which strengthen the relationship between academy, society and enterprises. The goal of this project aims at implementing the functional prototype for sending electrocardiograph signals on real time, using the cellular network and the GPRS technology for the transmission between a mobile unit and the destination hospital in order to get an integral, efficient and immediate assistance for the patients.
